Precipitated Barium Sulphate

Precipitated barium sulfate is an inorganic substance having the chemical formula BaSO4. It is a white, crystalline material that is odourless and insoluble in water. The white opaque look and great density are used in its primary applications. Precipitated barium sulfate is widely used in industries such as powder coating, paint coating, paper, plastic, and rubber due to its purity, low oil absorption, high burning point, insolubility in water, accurate PH value, prolonged shelf life, non-toxicity, and efficacy.

Precipitated barium sulfate is a synthetic barium sulfate precipitated at a specific particle size.These products work well with industrial paints, enamels, and plastic materials. Also known as blanc fixe, this high purity, synthetically generated barium sulphate substance is used as an extender in the creation of paints, coatings, and polymers. It is entirely harmless and extremely resistant to outdoor exposure and other pollutants. The precipitated barium sulphate has a tiny particle size of 0.7 µm and a narrow distribution of particle sizes, making it perfect for high gloss applications.
